    The Group Accounting Manager is a key position in the Corporate Accounting organization, reports directly to the VP Global Controller, and is based out of our Stockholm, Sweden office. We’re looking for a highly motivated, experienced Group Accounting Manager to ensure that all international entity financial close and reporting processes are consistent with US GAAP for consolidation purposes and with local Swedish GAAP for statutory filing purposes. The successful candidate provides accounting and financial oversight for our international entities, and is primarily responsible for the completeness, accuracy and compliance of all financial records for multiple international entities.

    Responsibilities

    • Review monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis for all international entities 
    • Assist in corporate annual auditors’ reviews with regards to international reporting, provide reconciliation support to facilitate audit process and lead international statutory compliance 
    • Manage a team of managers and individual contributors in multiple European locations
    • Review statutory financial reports and accounts, and bridge statutory financial books to US GAAP 
    • Oversee intercompany balances to ensure intercompany transactions are reported correctly
    • Partner with the VP of Tax and Treasury to review transfer pricing journal entries, ensuring the corporate entity structure aligns to the intercompany tax agreements while maintaining proper supporting documentation for country specific reporting 
    • Consider the effects of foreign exchange transactions and related reported gains/losses on financial results
    • Provide updates and analyses for all international entities during monthly close meetings
    • Ensure that appropriate internal controls over operations and financial reporting are in place
    • Research and apply relative international accounting guidance and propose policies and procedures that align to US GAAP 

    Qualifications

    • Fluent in Swedish and English
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required and CPA preferred
    • 5+ years’ accounting experience in a multi-country, multi-currency environment, ideally with 3+ years’ in public accounting or as head of accounting
    • Ability to identify areas for efficiency improvements and create change where necessary 
    • Ability to effectively work across teams and levels, both within the accounting functions, and across functions, including tax, legal, operations and senior leadership 
    • Experience with general ledger function and the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and analyses 
    • Experience managing external audit engagements
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy
    • MS Office, particularly Excel
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
