Overview

As a Solution Consultant you will be a key part of the EMEA Enterprise Sales Team covering the DACH region. The Solution Consultant (SC) is responsible for establishing and executing the pre-sales strategy to close new business and increase revenue in the Enterprise go-to-market. The SC is an integral part of the sales function and is involved in most stages of the enterprise sales process.  The SC must understand business issues, identify solutions and translate those into demonstrations and presentation materials that can be used to help bring to life the value Planview’s solution(s) can deliver to prospects and current customers. 

 

English language is a mandatory requirement. German and/or French is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Sales support for the DACH Enterprise Sales Team; 
    • Positioning the Planview value proposition as part of our overall business solution, aligning these benefits with key business issues of the prospect/customer
    • Performing prospect and customer presentations and demonstrating the Planview solution(s). Solution(s) include any one, or combination of integrated, products in the Planview family of products: Planview Enterprise, Troux, Innotas, Projectplace
    • Preparing responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQ’s and other prospect inquiries
    • Participating in seminars, trade shows, and other marketing activities in order to promote awareness of Planview and our solutions
    • Conducting configured demonstrations and benchmarks, using actual or derived customer information, i.e. scenario and scripted demos
    • Delivering product demonstrations in support of the Planview solution; demonstrations vary from executive-level overviews to scripted proofs-of-concept
    • Providing continuous correspondence with the prospect to reinforce and sell the value of the Planview solution(s). Provide further clarification to the prospect through follow up phone calls and additional demonstrations
    • Performing solution consultant partner training
    • Participation with the Sales team in the preparation and execution of individual sales strategies for Planview prospects and customers
    • Communicating customer’s business requirements to members of the implementation team after completion of the sale to ensure a smooth transition from presales to post-sales
  • Professional Development
    • As an experienced Solution Consultant, you will work with colleagues to maintain and enhance demonstration systems and best practices
    • You will maintain your own professional development and presentation skills; including continuous learning of new Planview products/technologies
    • You will share experience with peers through cross-training sessions, team meetings, etc.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of two years of previous presales consulting experience or consulting experience with a desire to move into a presales role
  • Previous consulting, software application implementation or customer requirement mapping and/or specific functional industry expertise in Enterprise Architecture, project management, portfolio management or related functional applications
