  • Overview

    The Account Manager is a quota-carrying number of the team responsible for managing and furthering relationships with existing customers of Planview. This role will drive retention, renewal readiness, and license expansion, and service bookings by working closely with the customer success managers to serve and understand our client´s full WRM needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Prospect and sell into a list of 60-80 existing clients within their territory while carrying a quota
    • Create account plans and performing quarterly business reviews to measure against key metrics
    • Grow accounts through learning their business, identifying their needs, and closing additional license, product or solution upsell opportunities – including services offerings such as integrations-as-a-service, E-learning, etc.
    • Responsible for communicating the value realized by every customer to those customers
    • Create an account plan to drive advocacy outcomes including: references, case studies, etc.
    • Promote active involvement in the Planview community (Horizons, Inner Circles etc.)
    • Work with Customer Success to drive retention and process improvement
    • Work with sales overlays and pod members to ensure customers have visibility into the full suite of products and solutions
    • Work with Professional Services to make assigned onboarding events successful
    • Partner with Renewals Specialists to make ready, grow, and renew every assigned account
    •         Ensure our systems of record are up-to-date for all assigned customers

    Qualifications

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with executives
    • Technical acumen to discuss products with people who use them everyday
    • Possess or be able to develop a deep understanding of Planview’s platforms, products, solutions to clearly communicate and demonstrate their value and return on investment
    • 3+ years of quota carrying software or technology renewal sales experience (SaaS preferred)
    • Possess or develop the ability to articulate Planview product and company positioning
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • Previous sales methodology training preferred
    • Must be fluent in German and English, while French language skills are a plus
